Recycling at InterWrap

InterWrap can help you to recycle your used Lumber Wrap, Wood Packaging, Synthetic Roofing Underlayments & Woven Polypropylene Billboards!

InterWrap is committed to reducing the amount of plastic sent to the landfill.  To do this we are looking to work with companies who receive products wrapped in InterWrap packaging and wrap.  We have numerous drop-off points in Canada, U.S.A., China and India and will work with you to collect your scrap, cores and pallets in a space-effective manner and have them shipped to one of these drop-off points. All of the material that we collect is either reused or recycled into products that InterWrap produces.If you are already a customer then please contact your Account Manager for more details.

Some products that InterWrap recycles its scrap material into are:

  • TITANIUM UDL synthetic underlayments with SCS certified minimum 20% recycled content
  • GrowShield™ plant protectors with 80% recycled content
  • Blended polypropylene cores
  • A full range of Nursery pots with 80% recycled content

Global Recycling. . .
InterWrap has a global recycling program with post consumer collections points spread across Canada, the U.S.A., India & China. InterWrap collects and bales thousands of tons of scrap materials from lumber yards, manufacturers, hardwares and other locations. Once collected and baled we ship them to one of our state-of-the-art recycling facilities where they are cleaned, ground down, processed and made ready for remanufacturing into new or blended products.

100% Scrap Recovery. . .
InterWrap has made a commitment to recycle all of the scrap that we generate at our manufacturing facilities. Almost all of this scrap is put directly back into our production. Our quality control systems ensure that our scrap rate is as low as possible.



LEED® Points. . .
InterWrap works with 3rd party verifiers such as: Scientific Certification Systems (Download a copy of our SCS Certification here), InterTek and ICC ES to make our products compliant with building codes and the LEED program. We are committed to continually increasing InterWraps product contribution toward LEED points.



Closed Loop Manufacturing. . .
InterWrap is committed to developing products that maximize recycled content while exceeding quality expectations. Our goal of closed loop manufacturing ensures that when our products reach their end of life they are recycled back into new products in an environmentally friendly process. In this way, InterWrap® reduces the amount of products that would otherwise be sent to landfills.
